After decades in a joyful career teaching and performing on the violin in chamber orchestras in the Americas and Europe, Deborah felt a strong calling to ‘give back’ in a helping profession. She first became a birthing companion (doula) because of her desire to support families in achieving the best possible birthing experience. The use of hypnosis in preparation for childbirth was a natural extension.
Deborah’s training as a HypnoBirthing Childbirth Educator opened her eyes to the fact that she had been using self-hypnosis for most of her life. She recently remembered a long-forgotten experience, being taught to use hypnosis by her pediatrician as a young child when she suddenly started having terrible stomach aches. In retrospect, Deborah realizes what a central role that ability has had on her life and well being.
Deborah is part of a network of leading hypnotists from around the world, implementing systems that have helped tens of thousands of people stop smoking, lose weight and make other, desired changes using hypnosis. She is a Certified Consulting Hypnotist and member of the National Guild of Hypnotists and past member of the International Hypnotism Training Consultants. She has taken advanced training in hypnosis for unexplained infertility, resolving relationship issues, regression hypnosis, pain management, and complimentary medical hypnosis. As an added bonus to individual sessions, Deborah teaches all her clients how to use self-hypnosis to stay in touch with mental, emotional and physical states to nip potential problems in the bud.
